Teaching is a formal and professional vocation. A staff dress code should reflect this and it is important that all staff at Cardinal Wiseman project a professional image which communicates our high expectations.

• Clothing must be professional attire, not casual wear.
• Male staff must wear a shirt, tie, trousers and smart shoes (with the exception of PE staff)
• Female staff must wear smart dresses or separate tops and bottoms (trousers or skirt) Trousers must be full length and dresses and skirts should be worn to the knee. Tops need to be appropriate and modesty must be maintained at all times, vest tops are not allowed. Footwear must be smart, no flip-flops.
• PE staff are allowed to wear black polo shirts, black shorts or tracksuit bottoms, black fleece and trainers. There is the expectation that PE staff will change for Parents’ Evenings.
• Tattoos and jewellery must be discrete.
• The dress code is for all staff, both teaching and non.
